Question by Charlette: What does it mean to ‘crash’ after drinking an energy drink?
Today I had my first monster. The green one. (: Because last night I pulled an all nighter, so basically, didn’t sleep for 24 hours. I drank the energy drink, and basically got no energy from it for like a half hour, then it kind of kicked in a bit. My best friend said that I would soon crash, but I haven’t and probably won’t. What does it mean to crash after having an energy drink, or caffeine?

get really tired, and you just want to lay down and sleep
When you crash it means that you will eventually lose all of your energy and become very tired = crash and you’ll want to relax or sleep.

it means to suddenly get really tired, even more tired than you were before. Its kind of like driving down a road, the further the road the more tired you are. The energy drink makes you stop and pause. Then when the energy drink wheres off, you would suddenly appear and continue driving where you would be if you never took the energy drink. for me I never feel too much of an extra energy boost either, But when I have them , I just cant fall asleep no matter how hard I try
Taken on a empty stomach, the sugar, caffeine and vitamins in an energy drink will wear off and a person can “crash.”
It takes one half hour for your body to absorb the sugar and caffiene in the drink…that’s why there was a delay. It is possible that you will crash, or come down. later.
Crash in the simplest terms means that the alertness from the caffeine has worn off and you no longer feel its effect.
