Question by Musonda C: What gives Energy drinks their charactersitic flavor?
The flavor employed in energy drinks (such as Red Bull) is currently found in almost every energy drink. I’m wondering if anyone knows how to this make flavor or knows from where it is acquired. I’d like to add it to my healthy homemade energy drink for my family.

It’s probably either taurine or ginsing, or possibly a combination of the two. Energy drinks are always loaded with that stuff.

The B vitamins have a unique flavor and that is probably what you are talking about. It’s also why your pee turns bright yellow about an hour after you drink them.
You can get liquid B in some health food stores. It’s usually pricey. You can’t overdose on it, but you pee out what you can’t absorb.
