Energy drink company claims Monster infringed on trademark
An Alabama-based energy drink company that uses the synthetic saliva of a hornet as an ingredient claims Corona-based Hansen Beverage Co. has infringed on its “Killer Buzz” trademark with Hansen’s line of Killer-B Nitrous Monster energy drinks. Stan Pate, owner of PBEV LLC, said he would vigorously defend his energy drink trademark for “Killer Buzz” that he bought from Vespa Beverages in March.
