Consumption of caffeine in excess of 400mg in a day can cause undesirable and potentially dangerous effects such as: nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, increased urination, abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmia), decreased bone levels and stomach upsets.

Caffeine is great for a quick pick-me-up, but it leaves you feeling “wired”. An energy drink with less caffeine and more natural products like taurine, guarana, and B vitamins would provide long lasting natural energy production without that “wired” feeling.

Energy drinks can provide a good service to your body, namely giving you the alertness you may be lacking, but only when used in moderation. Like anything else, you should not relay on these types of stimulants to get you through a workout or game. Instead, make sure you are eating healthy and getting sufficient sleep.

Other natural products, like panax ginseng and gingko biloba, would enhance mental clarity and help you stay alert and focused. Add to that vitamin C for antioxidant protection and you have a healthy, natural alternative to the other highly caffeinated energy drinks available today. It would not only give you natural, long lasting energy; but would also help you stay alert and focused for prolonged periods of time.

Nutrients can include caffeine in high amounts, vitamin B-complex, antioxidant vitamins C and E, and taurine, an amino acid. Other nutrients include bee pollen, inositol, and glucuronolactone. Herbal extracts, such as ginseng, guarana and ginkgo biloba are often added for their nutritive value. Other herbs may include horny goat weed, milk thistle, yerba mate, damiana and rosemary.

Caffeine makes people become more alert. It changes the chemical makeup of the brain by altering the part that is associated with sleep. Caffeine attaches itself to adenosine which is produced when people exercise. Normally adenosine slows down the body as the muscles are worked. Caffeine however changes the way the cell looks and causes blood vessels to constrict. That is why sometimes coffee or soft drinks along with many headache medications can help alleviate the discomfort associated with headaches.

Unfortunately, there are some negative consequences of regular caffeine consumption as well. One of the worst effects of chronic caffeine consumption seems to be its effects on the body’s adrenal glands. Whenever we drink caffeine, stress hormones are released, triggering a ‘fight or flight’ response in our bodies – which wears off after an hour or so, and causing a ‘crash’ and the need for more. Done repeatedly over time, this overstresses the system, beats up our adrenal glands and fuels the ‘fatigue spiral’.

Energy drinks contain as much caffeine as in a cup of coffee. The difference in drinking a cup of coffee and an energy drink is with coffee it’s sipped, energy drinks are guzzled and many times drank one after another.

Second, caffeine can interrupt your sleeping pattern. The quality of sleep can be reduced and the normal sleep stages disrupted. Over time this can make you more tired. BHIP Energy Drink gives you instant energy that lasts longer and is even good for your health. It keeps people away from junk food and help them keep their weight under control. It enhances your performance, vitality and mental alertness. It has been prepared after a long and continuous research over several years. It is a reliable source of energy during the present times when people are so busy and hardly have time for themselves.
