Question by cedtwice2000: What energy drink can I use before I play basketball instead of high caffeine and sugar drinks?
I drink either a Red Bull or Full Throttle about 3-5 times a week before I play ball at noon everyday. I know its something else I can drink instead of that because I am gaining weight and I’m trying to lose weight instead. The extra boost the energy drinks gives me helps so I want to continue to take something, just not all that caffeine and sugar.

Vitamin water. It’s like, 125 calories per bottle or something like that.

I’ve heard alot of good things about 5 hour energy
I would suggest a little of dark chocolate (over 70% cocoa) – it will give you more energy than energy drinks and its antioxidant.
Gatorade just came out with a new drink called “G2”
its suposed to have less carbs and less sugar and less calories than regular gatorade, check that out.
Why don’t you change your entire diet instead of going for a high calorie/sugar/caffeine drink? If you eat balanced meals throughout the day you will find that your energy stays level throughout the day. Kill the energy drinks, you’ll find that you will need more and more to get the same effect over time. Treat it like a drug and kick the habit.
