FDA threatens to seize ‘unsafe’ alcoholic energy drinks; Blumenthal calls for refunds (video, documents)
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today sent warning letters to four companies that add caffeine to their malt alcoholic beverages, saying the mixture is an “unsafe food additive” and that further action, including seizure of their products, is possible under federal law.
